My aunt's farm in Vermont is one of my favourite places in the world. I adore every inch of it, from the beautifully restored barn, to their cozy house, to the multitudes of flowers, fruits, and vegetables that my aunt lovingly grows, to the solar panels that supply the energy to keep the farm going. Aaron and I stopped in for a night on our way to Pittsburgh, and I decided to pull my camera out for the first time in several weeks and took a ton of photos of this magical place.
I'm heading back to Vermont this week for my cousin's wedding! I can't wait to see my family again so soon and be in such a beautiful state.

Birthday things and a long overdue update
We've had an incredibly busy past couple months, which lead to my basic disappearance from this blog. Oops. I finished my student teaching and graduated, and ever since then, I have been working on getting my teaching license for Pennsylvania, finding an apartment, working on getting rid of things and getting ready to move, and our wedding! It's been pretty hectic.
My birthday was last week, and I had the best day. Aaron made me an amazing breakfast, which we ate on our patio. One of the reasons I love this apartment is because it feels like you live in a tree house in the summer, particularly on the patio. Then we went to a couple of beautiful spots around Halifax. We're trying to stop at all our favourite places before we move. We had dinner on the patio at The Bicycle Thief, which was delicious and had a fantastic view, which you can see in the photo with our cool blue water glasses. I made one of my favourite cakes, and Findlay played some cat games on my new iPad. It was hilarious.
I'm hoping to start posting a bit more regularly, but with the wedding and the move to Pittsburgh it's a bit dubious. We'll see how it goes! I can't wait for the next big adventures with Aaron.

Seattle!
In addition to the amazing wedding, we got to go to a lot of cool places and eat some really delicious foods while in Seattle. Some of my favourite places were:
Pike Place Market was excellent, I loved all of the flowers and the guys throwing fish
Gaudi, a Spanish restaurant with delicious paella and tapas
Stumbling Goat Bistro for a fantastic brunch (the photos of the pastries above are from the Stumbling Goat). The duck confit hash was fantastic!
Tom Douglas' Seatown Seabar and Rotisserie was another fantastic brunch spot, close to Pike Place Market
Molly Moon's Homemade Ice Cream was some of the best ice cream I've ever had
Fran's gray salt caramels and smoked salt caramels are beyond delicious
