Desert love
After flying from the Atlantic Ocean in Nova Scotia, to the Pacific Ocean in California, and then back to the desert, I am finally home! 16 hours of travel, 3 separate trips through security, and one lost suitcase made for a pretty rough day of travel, but I couldn't be happier to be back under the big, blue, New Mexico sky. These are all photos I took on my first full day here. I haven't been in Albuquerque in June in five years, so I'm really looking forward to three weeks of warm weather, bright colours, hiking, swimming, and hanging out with my family!

Findlay Friday!
I haven't posted Findlay photos in weeks! We've all been pretty busy around here with school/work/enjoying summer and whatnot. Findlay is still the cutest, fluffiest guy around, though! I'm heading to Albuquerque for a few weeks to visit family, and I am going to miss Finners so much. I guess these photos will have to hold me over until I get back to Halifax!

Last day with my class
I just had my last day of student teaching with my class. I loved having the opportunity to spend a couple months with those amazing kids! I had an ice cream sundae party for them, and they gave me a "teacher bag" they all signed, and a book of letter that they wrote to me. I almost cried. I was showing the book to Aaron when I got home, and Findlay wandered up and sat right on top of it when we were in the middle of reading it!

An ode to green chile
This is the last of the green chile I brought with me to Halifax after my winter break adventure to Albuquerque. And I brought A LOT of chile back with me. Green chile is, without a doubt, one of the best tasting things you will ever experience in your life. It makes EVERYTHING taste better. Luckily, I am going to be in New Mexico in a week, or else I would be in a state of pure panic right about now.

Jeju bike rides
I loved living in Jeju in the spring. I loved beaches, I loved how green everything was, I loved all of the farms fields full of crops, and I loved the riot of wildflowers surrounding the island. We would always go for bike rides through the countryside to our favourite coffee places on our days off. I miss those beautiful days. Living in Korea was such an incredible experience.

Rainbow Haven and Two if By Sea
We drove over to Dartmouth to go to one of our absolute favourite coffee places, Two if By Sea. We got our coffee and scone to go and headed to Rainbow Haven Beach. It was such a beautiful day. I love just laying on the beach, listening to the ocean, and reading. It was the perfect way to spend a Friday and celebrate getting engaged!
