Flying with a cat is an interesting experience. While I don't think Findlay was a fan of flying, I think he would take flying over being alone for a month. He loved the big house, lizards, and having some new views.

Findlay came to Albuquerque with me.

Findlay's window
Findlay spends most of his waking hours in the window, watching the pigeons. He had never seen a pigeon before we moved.

Cold
I always find winter difficult, but so far, Pittsburgh hasn't been so bad! No snow, and nothing particularly frigid. Compared to the unrelenting snow in Halifax last year, I could get used to this!

Life lately
Just over two weeks ago, Aaron and I got married. It was the best day of my life. About a week after that, we packed up our car and moved to Pittsburgh. It's been an extremely busy summer, but I couldn't be happier. I'll be back soon with a more in depth wedding post!

Note: Findlay did not ride in the car on the dashboard, he only sat up there when we were stopped for food or gas!

Birthday things and a long overdue update
We've had an incredibly busy past couple months, which lead to my basic disappearance from this blog. Oops. I finished my student teaching and graduated, and ever since then, I have been working on getting my teaching license for Pennsylvania, finding an apartment, working on getting rid of things and getting ready to move, and our wedding! It's been pretty hectic.
My birthday was last week, and I had the best day. Aaron made me an amazing breakfast, which we ate on our patio. One of the reasons I love this apartment is because it feels like you live in a tree house in the summer, particularly on the patio. Then we went to a couple of beautiful spots around Halifax. We're trying to stop at all our favourite places before we move. We had dinner on the patio at The Bicycle Thief, which was delicious and had a fantastic view, which you can see in the photo with our cool blue water glasses. I made one of my favourite cakes, and Findlay played some cat games on my new iPad. It was hilarious.
I'm hoping to start posting a bit more regularly, but with the wedding and the move to Pittsburgh it's a bit dubious. We'll see how it goes! I can't wait for the next big adventures with Aaron.

Snowy days
We have had so much snow this winter. I don't think I've ever in my life seen more snow. I've heard it's been record breaking amounts. Since last night, Halifax has gotten about 50 cm, on top of the 30 cm that fell on Sunday. Suffice to stay: we have spent A LOT of time indoors this winter.
Since almost everything has been closed today, Aaron got to stay home! We've made the most out of the situation: we've been living in cozy pajamas, drinking lots of home roasted coffee and espresso, played a board game, watched a few movies and Better Call Saul, enjoyed our #stormchips, we've been listening to the incredible new Modest Mouse album, Strangers to Ourselves, and we've just been spending time together and with Findlay. I took several photos of our day, including our Monopoly game, which Findlay was extremely interested in.
I hope that all of you are staying warm today!
