The farm

My aunt's farm in Vermont is one of my favourite places in the world. I adore every inch of it, from the beautifully restored barn, to their cozy house, to the multitudes of flowers, fruits, and vegetables that my aunt lovingly grows, to the solar panels that supply the energy to keep the farm going. Aaron and I stopped in for a night on our way to Pittsburgh, and I decided to pull my camera out for the first time in several weeks and took a ton of photos of this magical place.

I'm heading back to Vermont this week for my cousin's wedding! I can't wait to see my family again so soon and be in such a beautiful state.

Lately

I realized this morning that I have not posted anything in over a month! Life has been particularly busy this winter. I am currently on March Break from student teaching in a grade 6 class, and I have been loving every minute of it. Halifax has also been hit with a multitude of storms, which has left us covered in a very thick layer of ice and snow. Usually I love going out and taking photos in the snow, but all the ice has made is all quite difficult. I think we're all ready for Spring! I'm hoping to get caught up on some posts in the next week. How has your winter been?

Ojo Caliente

We are currently in the middle of a blizzard. As long as you don't have to go outside, it's not too bad. It's nice to have a cozy day inside sometimes! However, all morning I have been dreaming of hot tubs and hot springs, so I decided to post about one of my absolute favourite places in New Mexico, Ojo Caliente. Ojo Caliente is a mineral springs, spa and resort in Northern New Mexico. I try to make a trip each time I'm home. I buy a day pass to the springs and leave completely relaxed and rejuvenated. It's one of my top New Mexico recommendations to visitors. I have been going to Ojo Caliente since I was quite young, before they stopped allowing children, so it also holds very special memories for me.

I went up for a day with my mom when I was home in December. It was a beautiful day! I didn't take any photos inside the springs, as I was far too busy relaxing, but I took a couple of the old round barn, where we had a picnic, as well as a couple of photo on the way there and back to Albuquerque! Stay warm today if you are in this blizzard!
